Sarah Smith
Sarah is the Head of the Children and Family department and has been a qualified solicitor since 1998. She has extensive experience of proceedings concerning children, both private law disputes (for example between parents) and also public law disputes (where the local authority is involved). She has been a member of the Solicitors' Law Society Children Panel Accreditation scheme (as a representative for children) since 2003. Sarah recommends mediation in appropriate cases as a possible alternative to court proceedings, whilst recognising that in some cases the intervention of the court is required.

Deborah Hardy
Deborah has nearly 20 years' experience dealing with all aspects of cases involving children and family disputes, from simpler cases where parents agree to complex and contested disputes, and where the Local Authority has become involved. Deborah is particularly experienced in complex care proceedings, and has been a member of the Law Society Children Panel Accreditation scheme (as a representative for children) since 2001. Deborah is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors' Family Law Association).

Kathy Smith
Kathy joined the firm in 2007 and provides a wealth of experience having worked in the legal profession for over 25 years. Kathy works closely with Sarah Smith and Deborah Hardy as well as providing support to the department.

Legal Secretary
Lisa Pollard
Lisa has worked for the Company since 2001, and has over 20 years' experience in the legal profession. Lisa is an experienced legal secretary and assistant to both Sarah Smith and Deborah Hardy. Lisa also provides mature support to the Family Department, liaising with clients and other parties. Lisa ensures that our clients are kept fully up to speed with the work that the Department is handling for them. She is friendly, approachable and very efficient.
